SECOND CLUEs

But wait, there's more!

THE CONSPIRACY BOARD

WHO IS BEHIND IT ALL?

The Developers?

We? Ourself? Ourselves? We don't know how to word it

The Players

That's you! :)

THE REAL CONSPIRACY

[Antagonist] is watching. Find the secret /[].html to learn more.

THE TRUTH

It's all just a silly game, nothing being hidden here :D

We've made the entire conspiracy just for you! Not to toot our own horn, but we are pretty clever. As you can see, our puzzles are incredibly complex and we DID not make it up on the spot.

THE IMPOSSIBLE PUZZLE

🔍 + 🌐 + 🔑 = ?

(This puzzle would normally require knowledge of 3 obscure books, a degree in cryptography, and the ability to read the our mind)

Can you solve this nearly impossible puzzle?

Don't worry if you can't. In a real ARG, someone would've managed to solve it within minutes of the site being published and post the solution online.

SOLUTION (hover to reveal):

The answer is 'SEARCH THE WEB FOR THE KEY'. We're not even trying to be subtle anymore.

THE COMMUNITY

(Just decoration, nothing to see here)

SuperSleuth42

Got caught offgaurd with the good old switcharoo. I had to convert the binary code in the first clue, when converted to hex but reversed, and a hint of Pig Latin results in 'Hope you had fun. But we accidentally lost the answer.'!

PuzzleMaster99

That's completely wrong. I've spent 72 hours analyzing it and it's clearly a reference to the secret episode from season 2 of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show from 1999.

Creator.ARG

You're both overthinking it. It's literally just binary that says 'THIS IS JUST BINARY'...

(This is a satirical representation of ARG community discussions)

THE GRAND FINALE

Congratulations, [Truth Seeker]! You've reached the end of our satirical ARG.

Normally, this is the part where:

  • The big conspiracy is revealed (it's aliens/AI/secret government program)
  • You get a link to buy merchandise
  • The creators hint at a sequel that may or may not happen
  • Everyone debates whether the ending was satisfying

If you've found the hidden clues, you know this isn't really the end. The first letters of the list items spell 'SECRET'. Remember this.

But since this is a satire, we'll leave you on this: ARGs [can] be fun, creative experiences that build communities and tell interesting stories in unique ways.

We hope you enjoyed this lighthearted poke at the genre!
